‘Illegal’ versus ‘Legal’ citizens debate heats up a day after Home Minister sent out a strong message saying that the centre would identify and weed out every illegal settler in India. This announcement gives greater momentum to the National Register for Citizens becoming a nationwide drive. But the opposition is terming it as a move to isolate Muslims and to divert the attention from the real issues. Tonight on The Right Stand, Anand Narasimhan asks, is it time for a nationwide NRC push?
