इसमें कोई दो राय नहीं कि ऐसी हज़ारों संस्थाएं देश में लगभग हर क्षेत्र में शानदार काम कर रही हैं. इसका असर देश और समाज की प्रगति पर भी दिखता है. चाहे वो महिलाओं और बच्चों के कल्याण से जुड़े मामले हों, दलितों-आदिवासियों के अधिकारों का मामला हो, पर्यावरण से जुड़ी चिंता हो या फिर पशुओं के साथ सलूक का, लेकिन इन संस्थाओं की आड़ में ऐसी लाखों NGO भी हैं जो रजिस्ट्रेशन के बाद वो काम नहीं करतीं जो उन्हें करना चाहिए, उलटा NGO के नाम पर सरकारी, ग़ैर सरकारी चंदे का दुरुपयोग करती हैं.
